Edge Nodes: February Update
We started with 6 nodes in North America. As of today, YourSpace runs on 22 nodes across 4 continents.
New regions
| Region | Nodes | Avg latency |
|---|---|---|
| São Paulo | 2 | 34ms |
| Buenos Aires | 1 | 41ms |
| Mumbai | 2 | 28ms |
| Singapore | 2 | 22ms |
| Sydney | 1 | 38ms |
How routing works
When you deploy, your bundle is pushed to all nodes by default. The edge pragma in your config can limit this:
routes:
/*:
edge: region:us,eu # only US and EU nodes
This is useful if your users are concentrated in specific regions and you want to minimize replication costs.
What's next
- Africa: Lagos and Nairobi nodes are in testing
- Edge compute: Running lightweight functions at the node level (auth checks, redirects)
- Analytics: Per-node request counts in your terminal
We're keeping this small and fast. No plans for 200+ PoPs — just enough coverage to make indie sites feel instant.
22 nodes. 4 continents. 19ms median.
